Alan will be remembered as a valuable member of the Augustana community and will be dearly missed.

The Augustana campus mourns the loss of Dr Alan DeSilva who was a sessional lecturer in Biology. Dr DeSilva passed away suddenly in a motor vehicle accident on the evening of February 25th, 2013.  Alan will be remembered as a valuable member of the Augustana community and will be dearly missed.  He is survived by his wife and two young children.

Reverend Mike Dechant, OMI will Celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Parish, 17653 – 112 Street, Edmonton on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

    Thank you for this article! Although it’s been hard, what has helped is knowing the amazing influence he had on this world. Alan always told me how he loved the teaching environment there and how working on your campus inspired him to be a better prof ! Thank you or helping him live out his passion for teaching!!!
