International Flag Raising Ceremony recognizes Augustana’s international students and partners


Though Augustana has had international students on campus for many years, this year marked the first International Flag Raising in recognition of those students, as well as the campus’ international offerings.

This year, there are international students from 17 different countries on campus, which include:

  • Colombia
  • Egypt
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
  • Japan
  • Kenya
  • Nigeria
  • Pakistan
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Sierra Leone
  • South Korea
  • Sweden
  • Taiwan (Republic of China)
  • Tanzania
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom
  • Zimbabwe
 
Flags also hang in the Faith & Life Lounge to represent Augustana’s nine international course offerings, including:
  • Costa Rica
  • Cuba
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • India
  • Mexico
  • Norway
  • United States of America
