December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada, this day coincides with the anniversary of the death of fourteen young women who were tragically killed on December 6, 1989 at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal. They died because they were women.
We will recognize this day of remembrance with a vigil on Thursday, December 4 at 5:00 – 5:30 in the Chapel. Everyone is invited to attend.
