Upcoming Musical Dinner Theatre will feature talents of Augustana’s own BMus Vocal Performance majors.

Love songs delight, amuse, and often express what we cannot. This year, Show a Little Love, the second annual dinner theatre production of the Rotary Club of Camrose Daybreak will show its love for our community with two evenings of musical theatre. This event is the Daybreak Club’s major annual fundraiser; proceeds will be supporting projects of The Open Door and the Augustana Vocal Performance program.

This year’s show, "The Seasons of Love", weaves together a tale of optimism, disappointment, conflict, forgiveness, commitment and the ultimate triumph of love. This journey of love unfolds as a string of favorites from well known musicals like Annie Get Your Gun, Showboat, Legally Blonde, Camelot, Jane Eyre, Les Miserables, Little Women and Wicked, along the way revealing the bumps and starts, conflicts and resolutions we humans often experience in our own journeys of romantic togetherness. Our performers, who will be offering dramatic, costumed renderings of their musical selections, are students in Augustana’s Vocal Performance program.
The Open Door will use the support it receives to support either accommodation for youth or to meet a challenge grant for its facility.
The Augustana music program will use its grant to offset some of the costs of attending several operas while in New York. Vocal Performance professor, Kathleen Corcoran, calls the opportunity for the students in the vocal performance program "an incomparable educational opportunity."
