The University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus in partnership with Net-Works Basketball present:

The first Annual ‘Vikings All–Star Basketball Series’ (Grade 12 and Grade 10/11 games) and ‘Rising Star Clinic’
March 27 – 28

This rural based All-Star game and Rising Star Clinic is designed to give participants a chance to showcase there skills in front of College and University coaches and scouts – to show players the ins-outs of what it takes to prepare for basketball at the next level.

Camp Instructors:

Dave Drabiuk (Head Coach – Augustana Vikings Men’s Basketball) Dave is in his 20th year of coaching this great game of basketball. He has coached from junior high through to Canadian university and has coached both men and women. He has coached provincial teams and represented Canada in international competition. He has been recognized by Canada Basketball as a top-level clinician and coach of coaches.

Leanne Shenton (Head Coach – Augustana Vikings Women’s Basketball) Leanne started out her playing career as an Augustana Viking before moving on to play at the University of Victoria. Upon graduation she moved across Canada to coach full-time at the University of Windsor, which is currently ranked second in Canada. She has coached for over 10 years for club, high school, college and university teams.

Jamie Peers (Technical Director ~ Net-Works Basketball) Jamie has coached for over for 20 years from grade school to college and international competition. He currently consults with numerous high school, college and national programs, and recently served on the coaching staff of the defending Alberta men’s college champions and the Silver medal men’s national wheelchair team at the Beijing Olympics.

Ron Hopkins (Technical Assistant/Clinician ~ Net-Works Basketball) Ron is in his 28th year of coaching. He has coached at numerous levels from community to college in both Canada and the United States. He has worked with over 100 athletes who have gone on to play at the post secondary level.
