On the weekend, the Vikings squared off against the NAIT Ooks. On Friday night at home, the Vikings started off the game on a strong note. They won the first quarter 25-15. After a less productive second quarter, the Vikings regrouped at half time to win the third quarter by eight points. Every member of the Viking roster contributed in the game. Strong defense from the entire team allowed the Vikings to control the tempo of the game. Avalon Greaves tore down 14 boards and scored eight points on four-for-ten shooting. Amy Tweedie scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Jamie Sparrow played great defense and scored 18 points. The final score favoured the Vikings, 74-69.

At NAIT on Saturday, the Vikings showed the same determination they had on Friday night. The Vikings held the Ooks to only 53 points. The team played smart team defense throughout the game. Every Viking contributed in this 65-53 win. Megan Hogendoorn played a great all around game. She was a sparkplug with 18 points, two assists and three steals. Amy Tweedie narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds and 14 points. Genna Flinkman had three assists and was 100 percent from the field. Her defense and leadership during this game and the whole weekend helped the Vikings earn their first sweep of the season.
