Faith & Life Chapel

Camrose & District Community Band, under the direction of Tom Spila, will perform a concert at the Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta in Camrose. The Band will perform a variety of selections, from standard concert band literature and marches to jazz and movie themes. As well, Stettler’s Rhonda Newton, soprano, and Millet-born Janet Scott Hoyt, piano, will be featured.

An additional feature of this popular annual concert will be the presentation of the University of Alberta’s newest honour, the Augustana Fine Arts Achievement Award. In 2009, awards will be presented to Robert Bailey (Camrose), Hedy Klause (Wetaskiwin), Elaine Pitt (Stettler), and Tom Spila (Camrose). The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Fine Arts and Fine Arts education.
