Dr. Henry (Hap) Davis IV
Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Sponsored by the Dean’s Office, Augustana Athletics, and the Music Division.
Davis is a sport and clinical psychologist who has worked with elite performers in a number of disciplines, ranging from sport to music. In the past 25 years, he has worked with professional hockey players and Olympians and has learned that pre-performance preparation and post-performance recovery are each keys to success. He will discuss the underpinnings for these insights derived from his neuroscience research and from his applied work. In addition, he will detail strategies for
setting up positive experiences—both for the performing artist and for the competitive athlete.
All welcome. Free admission.
