AICT (Central Computing) Network Services Interruption

TLS has received notification that there will be some interruptions to services provided to the Augustana Campus by AICT

TLS has received notification that there will be some interruptions to services provided to the Augustana Campus by AICT.

01:00hrs -> 07:00hrs:
Networking changes at the AICT Network Operations Centre will mean intermittent access to the internet and all related services during this period. This will affect all on-campus workstations, UWS (Wireless) and residence internet. Services such as Beartracks, Campus Solutions, webmail, etc. may not be available.
07:00hrs -> 11:00hrs:
Electricians from Facilities and Operations will be performing maintenance on the main power to General Services Building. This outage is the first of two outages required to augment power services to AICT’s main computing centre.
AICT will be turning off all the equipment in the Campus Computing Centre, except network and telephones, to prevent heat related damage.
Services such as ualberta webmail, central authentication, file storage, campus email , eClass (formerly WebCT), Elluminate and the ability to log onto wireless networks (UWS) will not be available. Westgrid and Research Computing resources will be not be available.
