National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

December 6th, 2009 represents the 20th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre. This date has also been designated as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on violence against Women.

It is our practice at Augustana Campus to gather for a vigil to remember this day and name the fourteen women who died at l’Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. We will gather for the vigil on Thursday, December 3rd at 5:30 p.m.

We will meet in the Faith and Life Lounge, light candles and continue outside for a brief vigil in the quad. All faculty, staff, students, family members and friends are welcome.
