Check out a ‘Living Book’ and find out what it’s like to be a judge, a female cop, transgendered or a Hutterite.

Between January 18 and 21, 2010 (6:00-9:30 pm daily), students, faculty, and staff at Augustana Campus will once again have access to the augustana living library: growing with people, growing in community, growing our world. Members of the public are also very welcome to attend.

A Living Library is an initiative through which people (called “Readers”) who want to learn about a specific topic meet people (called “Living Books”) whose life experiences embody that topic. Readers “check out” Living Books for an hour of conversation regarding that Living Book’s particular topic.

The augustana living library is an initiative of Augustana’s Human Rights Advisors and the Augustana Library, with the support of Augustana’s Student Services and Learning and Beyond.
