Nordlys Film & Arts Festival
Posted on January 27, 2010 by Dylan Anderson
Norwegian for Northern Lights, the Nordlys Film Festival runs February 26-27 in the Faith & Life Chapel.
This festival has a 10 year history as the Pretty Hill Film Festival, held at Verlyn & Mardell Olson’s home. This festival will feature a variety of films ranging from Foreign, Canadian, to Classic. We will also be featuring local musicians throughout the weekend. All are welcome!
To see the film listing, event schedule and to learn more about the festival, check out our website. Keep checking the website as well as more details will be added as the event approaches.
* In an effort to offset the cost to attend this event, we will be selling ECO mugs. They are great for hot drinks. They look like a to-go cup from Starbucks, however they are double-walled porcelain with a silicone lid. They are dishwasher and microwave safe (unlike many coffee tumblers). If you would like to pre-order and guarantee receiving a mug, let me know. They are the hot new item in the swag world and they will go fast. The pre-order rate will be $15 each and there will be one waiting for you at the festival (or in the alumni office if you cannot attend). The 11 oz. mug will be white with a black lid and our Nordlys logo on the side.
They are the eco-friendly replacement to the paper or styrofoam cup. Gotta love it!
