The Chaplaincy is hosting a Super Soup Supper to raise funds for Haiti Earthquake Relief.

We are trying to get as many people out for soup supper as possible…it will be a BIG event!

At the same time we will be gathering donations for Haiti: FaithLife Financial will match the first $350 of this fundraising effort. If you wish to donate to this cause, please come to the Super Soup Supper or drop gifts off on or before Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Robyn Simpson Mohr’s office (F&L 216).

All gifts will be sent through Canadian Lutheran World Relief for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. These gifts will be forwarded to Action by Churches Together (ACT) International, a world-wide ecumenical coalition of church bodies and church-affiliated relief agencies. The Canadian government has announced that it will match donations for Haiti made by individual Canadians to registered relief agencies up to a maximum of $50 million. Donations eligible for matching funds must be received by February 12. Envelopes will be available for receipt purposes.

One more thing: Prior to soup supper at 5:00 p.m. we gather in the Chapel for a brief candlelight worship service called "Joyous Light." You are welcome to come early and join us.
