The Vikings Hockey team is off to the semifinals after defeating the N.A.I.T. Ooks 2-0 in the best of three quarter final series.

The first night, the Vikings created a four goal lead only to see it shrink to one goal margin. However, they were able to hold on for the win.

On Saturday, they played more consistently, resulting in a 5-3 win. Torrie Dyck led the way with the winning goal and he also added an assist. Dean Prpick had a two-goal outing and was named the Vikings player of the game, as his line with Tyler Shedden, (a goal and an assist), and Scott Aucoin, (two assists), was dominant all night long. Dan Hope rounded out the scoring with a Power Play goal and goaltender Paul Kolida kept out 35 shots to earn his second straight win against the Ooks.

The win advances the Vikings to the best of five semi’s where they face the three time defending champion S.A.I.T. Trojans, who the Vikings went 1-3 against during the regular season.
