The Edmonton Campus is having a planned data centre outage on March 21st. This will affect Augustana staff and student’s ability to access several key technologies on our campus, including (but not limited to) UofA webmail, Augustana webmail, Augustana Website, UWS and eClass. Authentication in residences and labs may be effected by this outage.

AICT CENTRAL SERVICE DISRUPTION     SUNDAY MARCH 21  8AM-3:30PM

On SUNDAY MARCH 21  8AM-3:30PM,  electricians from Facilities and 
Operations will be performing maintenance on the main power to General
Services Building.  This outage is the second of two outages 
required to augment  power services to AICT’s main computing 
centre.   Additional base-level maintenance to the building’s 
electrical infrastructure will also be performed at this time.

With the exception of the central network and telephone services, 
AICT supplied computing resources will NOT be available from 8:00 am 
to 3:30 pm on that day. The equipment is being shut down to prevent 
heat related damage.

Services such as webmail, central authentication, file storage, 
campus email , eClass (formerly WebCT), Elluminate and the ability 
to log onto wireless networks (UWS) will not be available. Westgrid 
and Research Computing resources will be not be available.

Please keep this in mind when scheduling your activities for SUNDAY 
MARCH 21  8AM-3:30PM and plan accordingly.
