See the legendary jazz ensemble, under the direction of Larry Schrum, with guest vocalist (former Camrosian) Brittany Bailey!

The River City Big Band is Returning to Camrose!

Camrose and area residents are in for a treat when the River City Big Band returns to Camrose to perform in May. Many will remember their memorable performance several years ago at the Camrose Regional Exhibition, with narrator Colin MacLean, when they presented Big Band Sounds of WWII. The 600 plus crowd rose to several standing ovations that evening. Well, they’re back – this time with guest vocalist and former Camrosian, Brittany Bailey!

The River City Big Band, under the direction of Larry Schrum, is one of Edmonton’s premier community jazz organizations, and it features stellar musicians, several of whom hail from the Camrose-Wetaskiwin area. This ensemble always attracts a big crowd, anxious to hear more great big band music.  Further cementing the Camrose connection, is the up and coming jazz vocalist, Brittany Bailey. Originally from Camrose, Ms. Bailey currently resides in Toronto. This concert is a fund-raiser toward the recent purchase of the Augustana 9ft New York Steinway piano.

Get your tickets now for what promises to be a popular event. Don’t miss an evening of big band jazz, featuring some recognizable tunes for both the young and old.
