Karla YuhaVikings Women’s Volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Karla Yuha for the 2010-2011 ACAC volleyball season. Karla, who attends Bawlf High School and is coached by Brenda Holm, has been a member of her high school team all four of her high school years and led the team in kills this past season. Karla has been playing club volleyball out of Camrose the past few years and just recently made the move to the outside hitting position from middle, where she has developed into a very fine hitter.

Karla will pursue a Bachelor of Science degree with a still undecided major, but is leaning towards the health field.

Karla grew up on a farm in Rosalind, Alberta, and looks forward to playing for a new ACAC program “ I think it will be a very exciting challenge and I look forward to the opportunity to play in the ACAC” Karla stated. Stephen Leggitt, Head Coach of Women’s Volleyball, comments: “I look forward to having Karla join our team next year, she has developed into a great outside hitter, and has what I consider to be the power to be a successful player in the ACAC. I’m also pleased that we are going to be able to start to draw athletes to our program from the local area”.
