Vikings Women�s Volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Katelyn Stewart for the 2010-2011 ACAC volleyball season.

Katelyn StewartVikings Women’s Volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Katelyn Stewart for the 2010-2011 ACAC volleyball season.

Katelyn is from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and attends West Central High School and has been a member of the school’s senior volleyball team for three years under Sean Stewart and Shilo Bargholz. In grade 10 she won the coaches award for dedication, attitude and work ethic, and in Grade 11 she was named team MVP. She has been a member of the Sylvan Lake Volleyball club for the last two seasons under Wayne Halliday.

Katelyn plans on pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology with the plans on attending University of Waterloo for Optometry, when she is done with her degree at Augustana.

“I’m very excited to be a Viking and am looking forward to being a part of the team, and Augustana’s re-entry into the ACAC,” stated Katelyn.

Head Volleyball coach Stephen Leggitt commented that“ Katelyn is a very strong setter physically and can run all types of an offense she makes great choices on the court, and is a very composed setter on the court, which will be a huge benefit to this very young volleyball squad, I’m looking forward to her development over the next 4-5 years.”
