Vikings Women�s Volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Kelsey Richards for the 2010-2011 ACAC volleyball season.

Kelsey RichardVikings Women’s Volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Kelsey Richards for the 2010-2011 ACAC volleyball season.

Kelsey is a homegrown athlete from Camrose, Alberta and attends Camrose Composite High School where Brian Laskosky coaches her. Kelsey has been a member of her high school volleyball team for the last three years and just recently made the move from the middle position to the outside. Kelsey is also a very accomplished track athlete especially when it comes to the high jump; she has won numerous medals at all levels of track across the province. Kelsey plays club volleyball in Camrose for the Battle River Vikings coached by current Augustana head coach Stephen Leggitt.

Kelsey plans on pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with her major still being undecided.

“I’m really looking forward to playing for Augustana, I have always wanted to play University level sports, and getting to play in my home town is pretty exciting,” stated Kelsey

Head Volleyball coach Stephen Leggitt commented that“ Kelsey is a great jumper, who has progressed a very long way in such a short period of time, she is very focused on what she wants to achieve in the ACAC and I look forward to her development over the next few years.”
