Passions have always inspired great songs, and Murphy and Olson will present works ranging from English lute to spirituals, opera and art.

Passionate Song: exploring the expression of human emotion through song

Presented by Joy-Anne Murphy, mezzo-soprano and Augustana Conservatory Instructor, and accompanist, Tova Olson. 

The passions of human existence have always inspired great songs throughout the ages, and Murphy and Olson will present a wide variety of works ranging from intimate renaissance English lute songs to Spirituals to Opera to art song. The program will feature works by such composers as Schubert, Fauré, Barber, Bizet and Brahms.

Tickets (available at the door): $12 (adults); $8 (students).
