The Men’s basketball team had an outstanding game on Friday, October 29
defeating the Kings Eagles 108-66. The victory was an all out team effort with six players scoring in double figures.
David Chytracek scored a career high 23 points on 8-11 shooting to lead all players in the game. The team shot 50 percent from beyond the three point line behind David Nessʼ perfect 4-4 night. All players made it into the game and made contributions wether it was with energy off the bench or a hot hand shooting the ball. Rookie forward Logan Gray lead the team with eleven rebounds.
The team got off to a quick start behind great team energy and an early flurry of baskets from David Shantz and Chytracek picked up with hot shooting off the bench. The Vikings big men did a great job of neutralizing Eagles big men Craig Batterham and Matthew Price forcing them into early foul trouble.
As the game wore on contributions from bench players allowed the team to keep pressure on the Eagles and seal a convincing victory. The Vikings are now
at .500 for the first time in years and look to improve upon their record next weekend
against the Concordia Thunder.
