Join us Monday, April 4, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in room C014 (Classroom Building, Augustana Campus, Camrose) for filmmaker Beth MacKenzie on her documentary short “Damned If She Does, Damned If She Doesn’t.”

In this film, Farshideh and Nazila share their stories with us in the company of their daughters.  With remarkable images from the world they left behind, the film illustrates the personal crises these women experienced.  But the film goes further: in examining the strange paradox presented by the stories of these two women, the film challenges growing support in Canada for the prohibition of religious head coverings in public institutions.
