November is Financial Literacy Month, and the Augustana Awards and Financial Aid Office – in partnership with Student Services – is hosting an information session designed to protect students from the perils of “binge spending”!

“If you binge drink, you can sober up tomorrow,” says Martina Brewer, Awards and Financial Aid Administrator for Augustana Campus, referring to some advice provided by the Edmonton Financial Literacy Society. “But if you binge spend, you’ll be broke tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that!”

How much debt can you afford? What are your alternatives to debt and what can you do when you’re in debt? Come to the lunchtime session in the Roger Epp Conference Room (F2-004) from noon to 1 pm on Wednesday, November 23 to find out.

Information for the session provided by the Edmonton Financial Literacy Society and Gail Vaz-Oxlade (‘Til Debt Do Us Part).
