Members of the City of Camrose and University of Alberta planning group will be on hand in an informal drop-in format (no presentation) to answer questions about the Camrose Performing Arts Centre project. Conceptual drawings and project information will be available for viewing.

Your best bet is to contact the City, since it is their project and they are the best source of information. We’re very excited about the decision to move ahead! Contact Paul Nielsen at 780-672-9195 or at pnielsen@camrose.ca

I can’t believe I missed it! Are there any plans for a future open house?

Overall, very pleased with CPAC project. However I wish the design of the building would have been more inviting to Stoney Creek Valley to the west.Itwould have left a message of “openness” to the community. I do understand the advantages of the east front to the building in that it enhances the rest of the campus. I suggest the architects take another look at the wrap around glass on the northwest corner and somehow extend it further along the west to make the “back” of the building more appealing to the community.
Also I am wondering about plans to recognize major donors. I suggest a unique wall or sculpture in a prominent place to especially recognize the pioneers and the history (100 years) of Camrose and the College/university…….not just another ‘donor wall’ like all the rest…..something real unique should be considered. Thanks to Paul for the opportunity to discuss these two issues in more detail ollowinf the open house.
