Berger Khan

In Augustana did Roger Epp
A stately pleasure-dome undertake:
Where sacred Stoney Creek ran
Through campus measureable by man
Down to a Mirror Lake.

So an acre of fertile ground
With glassed windows was girdled round:
And here was Monica’s cafe,
Where caffeinated ideas and laughter did spawn;
Below were offices for the SA
And above looms the office of Berger Khan.

All who read this should see him so,
And all should cry, Hello! Hello!
His friendly smile, no trace of woe!
Wave at him – be kind, be nice,
And grin at him when his eyes do gleam,
For he has stepped forth to be our Dean,
And chose to rule in Paradise.
