Bonjour, Là, Bonjour
by Michel Tremblay
Translated by John Van Burek and Bill Glassco
Directed by Professor Kevin Sutley

Chosen for its links to Augustana’s Academic Theme this year – Living With Our Selves: Conversations on Sex, Gender and Sexuality“Bonjour, Là, Bonjour” explores the connections (and disconnects) that occur between family members when issues of love, sexuality, identity and addiction become intertwined. Sometimes, relationships are not as straightforward as we might like to think.

“This non-linear play is constructed like a symphony,” says Mark Andrea Lawrence, “introducing themes and variations, changing harmonies, and weaving a rich tapestry that provides a portrait of a dysfunctional family. There is a lot going on in this short play and, like a three-course meal, it leaves you with a lot to digest.”

Doors open at 7 pm

Tickets are available at the door: $15 general admission and $5 students with appropriate ID.
