Halley Bailey, mezzo-soprano, a graduate of Augustana’s Bachelor of Music Vocal Performance Program, will present her graduating Masters degree recital program at Augustana Campus on Friday, April 13th at 7:00 pm in the Faith & Life Chapel.  Joining her are Roger Admiral, piano, and Jennifer Klippenstein, flute.

She has chosen to dedicate the recital to her brother, P.J. Bailey, who lost his life in a motor vehicle collision last September.

Ms. Bailey has been taking graduate studies on scholarship at the University of Victoria, and will complete her Master of Music in Performance degree this April. In addition to her studies, she has also held a position as a Teaching Assistant in the Music Department there. Halley presented this recital at the University of Victoria this past February as part of her degree requirements. Her upcoming performance will feature works by Brahms, Clara and Robert Schumann, Roussel, Mozart, Poulenc, Rachmaninov, Ives, Rorem and Copland. Ms. Bailey has been the recipient of numerous music, academic, and leadership awards throughout her school and university career.
