After taking another win off the SAIT Trojans on home ice Friday night, the SAIT Trojans found themselves in a must win Game 4. The Vikings lead the series 2-1. The team played a fast paced game feeding off the momentum  from Friday night’s win at home in Camrose.

After a scoreless first and second period Adam Johnson was able to notch a goal early in the third. The Trojans answered tieing the game up on a penalty shot by Matt Stefanishion with 8.41 left in the period. The game would remain tied sending it into overtime. With the overtime winding down Captain Torrie Dyck scored short handed and unassisted to win the game.

The Vikings are headed to the ACAC Finals for the first time since 1976. “I cant put into words how proud I’am of this team and how hard they’ve worked for this. Great series, great win, and now its time to focus on the next challenge…finals” said Head Coach Blaine Gusdal.

Game #2: Saturday, March 17 @ NAIT Arena, Edmonton (7:00 pm)
Game #3: Thursday, March 22 @ Encana Arena, Camrose (7:30 pm)
