Augustana Bachelor of Music and Conservatory students will perform over the next couple of weeks. The free recitals represent performance exams for the students.

The Augustana Bachelor of Music and Conservatory students will give performances at a series of jury-recitals held in the Faith & Life Chapel on Augustana Campus over the next couple of weeks.  The recitals are open to the public at no charge, and they also represent performance exams for the students.  The Camrose community is welcome to witness the work of our students in their applied music courses and enjoy the musical results of their labours and the labours of their instructors.

The first two of this series of recitals are Chamber Music Jury-Recitals which both take place on Wednesday, April 4th – one at noon and the other at 5:00 pm.  They feature third and fourth year Bachelor of Music students in the piano and vocal performance programs.  The noon recital includes piano majors Elizabeth Clarke and Al Kornelsen, and voice majors Kathryn Kerr and Dana Petterson.  They are joined by teaching coaches Thomas Schoen, violin and Susan Ward, Piano.  The 5:00 pm recital includes piano majors Jennette Miller and Johnathan Raine, and voice major Nicholas Sommer.  Joining them are coaches Charlene Brown, soprano and Dr. Milton Schlosser, piano.

Vocal Jury Recitals comprise the remainder of the recital series.  The students of vocal instructor Joy-Anne Murphy are featured in a recital on Wednesday, April 11th at 7:00 pm. They are joined by Carolyn Olson, piano.  Prof. Kathleen Corcoran’s studio present their jury-recital on Thursday, April 12th at 5:30 pm and are joined by Dr. Roger Admiral, piano.  Lastly, the students of voice instructor Charlene Brown perform on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00 pm, along with Carolyn Olson, piano.
