Friday’s ACAC exhibition hockey game will see the Augustana Vikings host the Portage Voyageurs in a pre-season match-up at the Encana Arena in the Camrose Edgeworth Centre at 7:30pm.

The Vikings opened their pre-season action with a home and home series with the Canada West’s Alberta Golden Bears. The Vikings went 0-2 against the Bears and look to rebound with a strong showing against the Voyageurs. Though the Bears outscored the Vikings 11-2 in their pre-season series, Vikings goaltenders Paul Kolida, David Ritz and Joel Danyluk made a combined 86 saves in their series against the Golden Bears, arguably the top-rated university hockey program in Canada.

Portage has had a strong start to their pre-season action defeating Grant MacEwan twice in exhibition and outscoring their opponent 12-2 in the two game series.

Your defending ACAC champion Vikings will look to capture their first win Friday night against one of their league rivals the Portage Voyageurs.

The doors will open at 6:30pm and the puck drops at 7:30pm at the Encana Arena in the Camrose Edgeworth Centre.
