The University of Alberta, Augustana Campus is hosting a conference on fracking this Nov. 2 & 3.

Entitled “Responsibility for the Land: Conversations on Fracking in Alberta,” we hope the conference will promote dialogue across traditional barriers and facilitate responsible stewardship of our land, water and air for future generations to come.

Everyone is welcome to attend. The program includes many excellent speakers representing a cross-section of perspectives including farmers, industry, environmentalists, and government. There will be many opportunities to discuss the issues with one another during the “table conversation” times.

Please download the conference brochure here. Please feel free to print and distribute it, or ask us to send you some hard copies. Further information can be found at the conference website: www.frackingab.wordpress.com.

Registration is now open. Cost for the entire weekend is as follows (includes Saturday lunch):
$35 adult  |  $50 couple  |  $10 student

One can also attend just Friday evening’s program with Dr. Karlis Mulenbachs and Dr. Dale Leckie for a cost of $10.
