web-Apr 7 Mozart Grand MassIn a joyful collaboration, the University of Alberta Augustana Choir, The Madrigal Singers, The Concert Choir, and the University of Alberta Symphony Orchestra will perform one of Mozart’s finest choral masterpieces, The Grand Mass in C-minor for soloists, chorus, and orchestra, in the acoustically superb Winspear Centre for the Performing Arts.

Participation in this project is very exciting for The Augustana Choir as they rarely have the opportunity and resources to sing large-scale choral works with orchestra. This project is even more exciting for our music area as two of Professor Kathleen Corcoran’s vocal majors–Andrea Benoit and Dana Peterson–have been selected to sing a duet movement from the mass at the concert.

This North-Campus-music-department-sponsored concert takes place on April 7th at 8:00 pm at the Winspear Centre for the Performing Arts in Edmonton.  Tickets:  $20 (adults); $15 (seniors); $10 (students) – available at the door and by phone 780-492-3263.  Click on this link for purchase:
