Students interested in enrolling at the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus can breathe a (brief) sigh of relief: the New Student Application Deadline – which passed April 30 – has been extended to June 1!
“In the past few days, we have had a number of prospective students approach us,” says External Relations Assistant Dean Tim Hanson. “They just needed a bit more time to get their applications together. With this change, we can keep our doors open to students who want to come to Augustana but missed the April 30 deadline.”
Admissions Advisor Jackie de Montarnal agrees. “I’m in contact with several Grade 12 students from Saskatchewan who are applying themselves to major projects and studying for final exams,” she says. “This extension gives them the time they need to focus on their schoolwork but still prepare for their next year at university in Camrose.”
“Even students considering January admission could submit their application now,” adds Admissions Advisor Amber Basarab. “It never hurts to get them in early, and we can always help in case the student hits a snag during the application process.”
Students considering Augustana can find more information in the Future Students section of the Augustana website, or discover more about the education they can expect in the Augustana Advantage section. This area – which introduces the Best of Both Worlds promise – was designed to help prospective students decide if Augustana is right for them.
While the online application process for the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus can be found here, many prospective students find that chatting with an Admissions Advisor like Jackie helps them make decisions that will affect their whole program. Either way, new students find a warm welcome on Move-In Day in September – plus more than two weeks’ worth of fun activities planned to get you meeting other students, faculty and staff around the 1,000-student campus in the heart of Camrose.
