Ten professors and lecturers from China’s Lianhe University of Arts and Sciences are in Camrose for three weeks to study at Augustana, tour the Camrose area and make some new friends. Specializing in fields as diverse as environmental chemistry, computing science, English and Chinese literature, all are involved in their school’s English as a Second Language department. They will attend a series of lectures on second language pedagogy, educational psychology, and Canadian culture, as well as attending ESL classes at Augustana.
A number of public events have been planned during the evenings, and all are welcome to attend. The professors are eager to meet people, practice their English and learn as much as they can about our community and our culture.

1 August 7pm: Naturescaping at the Railway Museum, hosted by the Stoney Creek Nature Centre
