The Augustana Choir, Mannskor: Augustana’s Men’s Choir, and Sangkor: Augustana’s Women’s Choir will present a delightful “gendered” concert featuring some of the finest seasonal choral music specifically composed for male and female chorus.

To celebrate the 100th birthday of renowned British composer, Benjamin Britten, the women of The Augustana Choir will join forces with Sangkor to perform Britten’s seminal work, The Ceremony of Carols, scored for treble voices and harp.  In response, the men of The Augustana Choir will join forces with Mannskor to perform Carols and Lullabies – a gorgeous companion piece to Britten’s Ceremony of Carols – scored for male chorus, harp, marimba, and guitar, composed by American composer, Conrad Susa.

Featured instrumentalists include Keri Lynn Zwicker (harp), Trevor Sanders (guitar), and Jonathan Sharek (percussion).

Tickets (available only at the door): $18 (adults); $14 (students/seniors); $45 (family).  R.A.R.E.
