05Dec - Vigil for Montreal MassacreOn Thursday, December 5th, the Augustana community will again remember the victims of the Montreal Massacre and recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

The following will be part of this remembrance and recognition:

1) 14 women will dress in black for the day and wear placards with the names of each of the 14 women who were killed.

2) Vigil: 4:30pm Thursday, December 5.  This 20 minute vigil is held mostly outside so please dress appropriately!

Please note, everyone is welcome (women/men/children, Augustana and Camrose community members) to attend the vigil!

The banners recognizing the 14 women who were killed on December 6, 1989 are on the light standards on college lane (thank you to facilities staff!)
