Beaverlodge student picks Augustana

“I choose Augustana,” says Brittany Stewart, a grade 12 student in Beaverlodge, Alberta.
“The University of Alberta has always been the number one choice of mine because they provide an outstanding education and courses that I look forward to taking,” she says. “The choice of Augustana Campus was easy for me, because it is a small community based learning experience much like what I am used to.”
Brittany is a competitive figure skater and heavily involved with leadership teams at school, as well as the new music program. “My favorite subjects are Biology and Chemistry,” she adds, “and I will be taking my Bachelor of Science, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in music.”
“My family and friends are all happy for the choice I have made,” says Brittany. “The small community, residency and meals make them feel more confident in my leaving for school. I have family in and around Edmonton and my brother attends Augustana so the choice was simple.”
Brittany has decided to live on campus – in residence – for her first year. She wants to meet new people and enjoy the real college experience that living in residence will give her – and three meals a day is a great bonus!
“I also look forward to experiencing the new Performing Arts Centre first hand,” she says. “Augustana Campus is a gorgeous community that I cannot wait to experience.”
