Each semester, Augustana students participate in a waste sort to determine how well our recycling and waste diversion systems are working and to identify where we need change or improvement to uphold our campus-wide commitment to sustainable practices. Over the years, this waste sort has shown us just how much Augustana’s total waste could be diverted from the landfill to reduce Augustana’s overall ecological footprint.

The entire campus community is invited to join ENV 120 students and the LAB office at the waste sort, which will be held on Wednesday October 1 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Forum. This will be a great opportunity for students, staff and faculty to work together on creating a more sustainable campus.
