The country star and Alberta legend will take to the stage Saturday, November 1. $20 student tickets now available!

George-Canyon-poster-2014-09-18Our brand new Performing Arts Centre has rounded up an Alberta legend for its debut. Country star George Canyon will take to the stage during the state-of-the-art facility’s grand opening gala Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.

Canyon has just released a new recording, Decade of Hits, and was recently presented with his fourth gold album for Somebody Wrote Love. He has performed for audiences all over North America, has sold over 350,000 albums and written songs for some of today’s most recognized country performers.

The gala opening of Performing Arts Centre Camrose has been a year in the making and this is an opportunity for the entire community to celebrate. With such a respected artist in an intimate setting, Nov. 1 will be a magical evening.

Seating is limited but those who purchase a ticket will take part in a pre-show reception, and will be entered into a draw for an exclusive meet and greet with George Canyon. All seats in the house are $100.00. Pre-show reception begins at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, Augustana students can purchase tickets for $20 at the Box Office with their ONEcard, while supplies last!

To purchase tickets, visit the Performing Arts Centre Camrose website at www.camroselive.ca or call the box office at 780-608-2922.

Unfortunately, Augustana didn’t advise on the pricing. We’re certain it reflects the calibre of the talent, the quality of the experience, and the elegance of the evening!

Hmm… the price is certainly not very student-friendly!
