Jill led the Augustana Vikings to a two match sweep over the visiting Grande Prairie Wolves. She registered 16 kills and 13 digs on Friday night to capture the player of the match award. She then went on to lead the Vikings in the rematch on Saturday with 11 kills and 5 digs. “Jill is a very physically strong player with great jumping ability and she hits with tremendous power.” As a fourth year player we are expecting Jill to consistently bring a high level of skill and confidence needed to succeed at the ACAC level.”

Performance/Achievements: 6 point weekend in Vikings two wins

The former U of A Golden Bear forward hit his stride this past weekend as he helped lead the Vikings to a pair of wins. On Friday night, Alex scored twice and added an assist for a three point evening in their 8-1 win. In the road game on Saturday, he scored 3 goals, including one short-handed and one on the power-play, to help pace his team to a 6-3 victory. Alex, who hails from Salmon Arm, BC and is enrolled in Business Economics at the U of A – Augustana Campus, finished the weekend at a plus 5 and was the Vikings Game Star both nights.
