“Giving Tuesday” December 2, 2014
“Giving Tuesday” is a new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering which takes place each year after Cyber Monday. We think of it as the “opening day of the giving season”, a day where we can rally together for favourite causes and think about others.
A favourite cause on campus supporting our students is the Chaplaincy’s Reciprocity Shelf and we would like to take next Tuesday to focus support on this initiative.
Please stop by the Forum’s centre fireplace on Tuesday, December 2nd between 11 am and 2 pm with a non-perishable food item, a toonie, loonie or a $5 bill… and support our students.
To show you how this works, we have had a generous Augustana donor, who currently supports an endowed student bursary, give us a valuable gift basket for a draw – all students participating in “Giving Tuesday” will have their name entered to win this basket!
Faculty and staff, we have a draw for you too…
But remember, it’s not about getting – it’s about giving… together, our small gifts of philanthropy can have a great impact on Augustana Campus.
Hope to see you Tuesday!
