This weekend the Vikings team headed up to Fort McMurray to take on the Keyano Huskies. On Friday October 7, the team came out looking for a win. This weekend the Vikings team headed up to Fort McMurray to take on the Keyano Huskies. On Friday October 7, the team came out looking for a win. However, the women’s team struggled to settle in and find their range. Though the Vikings fought hard they couldn’t finish. They lost to Keyano in three sets; 20-25, 21-25, and 21-25. Keri Alcorn was player of the game.

On Saturday October 8, the team was determined to take control of the game and they came out swinging. They got their momentum going in the first set and took it 25-19. In the following two sets, the Vikings didn’t give an inch and came together as a team to beat the Huskies 25-15 and 25-16. Jill Metrunec was player of the game. The team showed their desire to win and their determination to fight back.
