5u8a1927-editSessional lecturer in Art History Andrea Korda has published Printing and Painting the News in Victorian London: we are hosting a book launch on Thursday, March 5, at 3:30 pm in the Forum.

Andrea Korda received her Ph.D. in Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Andrea’s research focuses on 19th-century art and visual culture with an emphasis on new media such as photography and illustrated newspapers. Her first book, Printing and Painting the News in Victorian London: The Graphic and Social Realism, 1860–1891, investigates the relationship between illustrated news, an example of 19th-century new media, and traditions of painting in Victorian London.
