On Wednesday, February 25, the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus celebrated one of its most heartwarming traditions: the Community Awards Banquet.

The Community Awards program was established in 1973 to assist in making post-secondary studies possible for students with limited resources. The program met with several successes in those early years and that success continues: several awards established in those first years are celebrating over 40 years of commitment to post-secondary education!

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to all of our Community Awards Program donors – past and present – for your vision and commitment to fostering the education of our students. We also thank the students who came out to meet their donors, and the special guests who joined us to celebrate this wonderful evening.
