2015 Playoffs vs. SAITThe Augustana Vikings are in the ACAC Men’s Hockey semi-finals this weekend, following a sweep of the Red Deer College Kings last weekend by scores of 3-1 and 4-0. The Vikings (19W-10L-2T-1OTL), who finished 4th in the regular season, will play the 2nd place Trojans (25W-6L-0T-1OTL). The Trojans had a first-round bye.

SAIT won all 4 regular season meetings with the Vikings by a combined score of 16-10. Leading scorers for the Vikings against SAIT during the regular season were Scott Swiston with 3 goals and 1 assist, Devon Hobbs with 1 goal 4 assists and Jeff Lorenz with 4 assists.

The Vikings are on a roll following their quarter final win over Red Deer College’s Kings. Goaltender, Joel Danyluk is on fire – stopping 78 of 79 shots against Red Deer. Vikings Head Coach, Blaine Gusdal has his team playing high tempo hockey right now and this series will no doubt be a barn-burner.

Game 1: Friday, March 13 at 7:00 pm | SAIT Arena
Game 2: Saturday, March 14 at 2:30 pm | EnCana Arena, Camrose Recreation Centre
Game 3: Sunday, March 15 at 7:00 pm | SAIT Arena (if necessary)
If successful, the Vikings would advance to Championship Finals.
