Supplementary Bursary Program
Bursaries are intended to provide financial aid to students who are experiencing a financial shortfall in the current academic year. They are designed to supplement students’ existing funds, and are not intended to fully fund students’ educations. As each student’s shortfall will be ranked against all other bursary applicants, not all students who apply will receive a bursary. Funding for the Supplementary Bursary Program is provided by private donors, the Students’ Union Access Fund, and the University of Alberta.
The supplementary bursary application for July is now open for full-time students. To apply, visit the supplementary bursary online application. The deadline to apply is July 31, 2015.
The following students are eligible to apply for the supplementary bursary in July:
- Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in 9-12 months of full-time study (according to their program’s definition of full-time) within the current academic year (Fall 2014 – Summer 2015)
- Graduate students enrolled in PhD programs from September 2014 to August 2015
Students who submitted bursary applications in May will be notified of the results by mid July.
