Monday and Tuesday evening, we have a great line-up of human books at the fall augustana human library.

Conversation_270In February 2016, the Augustana Library will celebrate the offering of the 15th augustana human library!  There will be a week of activities and it will be great!  We are working hard already on making sure it is a week filled with learning.

But that is still a few months off.  In just days we have a great line-up of human books ready to speak on a huge variety of topics at the fall augustana human library.  Human books will speak to issues such as depression, sibling sexual abuse, being “Fat ‘n’ Queer”, bisexuality, etc.  We are so fortunate to have such a great collection of human books who so graciously share their stories of prejudice or struggle for the sake of the learning of others.  We are convinced that every human book that is “read” is one step closer to building a community and world that is more understanding of difference and more compassionate to others.

So come and join us for another augustana human library on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29 from 6-10 (last “read” starts at 8:30).  Please bring photo ID.  And email augustana.humanlibary@ualberta.ca or phone 780-679-1156 for more information.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
