AWLogo-Aug-edit-v1

Every fall, we host an Alumni Weekend to welcome our over 9,000 alumni back to Augustana. Whether you graduated from Camrose Lutheran College, Augustana University College, or the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus, you will find something for you!

Please contact Deb Olafson at 780-679-1626 before 4pm on Friday Sept 25th if you wish to reserve a ticket for Alumni Weekend.

Host a class get-together to reconnect with old friends or reach out to a favourite professor! We already have several groups arranging get-together on the 2015 Weekend, such as the Classes of 1955, 1959, and our Golden Alumni. Vikings Basketball alumni will meet, we will celebrate Alumni Honour Award recipient Alan Fielding (‘63), and alumni parents of current students can re-unite with their children on campus. Students of Dr. Milton Schlosser, Dr. Tim Parker, and Costa Rica Biology trip alumni are reserving tables to sit with their former professors.

Click here or scroll to the bottom of the page for more information about cohort reunions and accommodations in Camrose. Come on your own or join in a group – we look forward to seeing you!

Call the Alumni Office at 780-679-1626 or email augalum@ualberta.ca to connect with one of these groups or to talk about what you have planned. You can follow Alumni Weekend Events right here – come back any time for updates!

Founders-Hall-webFounders’ Hall Grand Re-Opening
1:00pm, Founders’ Hall
Founders’ Hall, affectionately known as “Old Main”, was built in 1912 to serve the needs of the then Camrose Lutheran College. It is being extensively renovated to serve Augustana Campus for the next hundred years.
Founders’ Hall has provided space for residences, dining, classes, music studios, faculty and administrative offices, etc. Looking to the future, the building will continue to serve prospective students, alumni, other campus visitors, faculty, and current students.
Please join us on Sunday, September 27, for the re-dedication of this iconic building. You will have the opportunity to explore the repurposed space with faculty, staff and students. Your visit will include the campus “living room”: a warm and welcoming gathering place and home to memorabilia from Augustana’s century of history.

Please contact Deb Olafson at 780-679-1626 before 4pm on Friday Sept 25th if you wish to reserve a ticket for Alumni Weekend.

Special Note: The Campus “Living Room”

Luther & Florence Olson PhotoIn gratitude and remembrance of a wonderful couple who, through their hospitality, helped so many people feel at home at Camrose Lutheran College (CLC), the new “campus living room” in Founders’ Hall will be named “The Luther and Florence Olson Welcome Centre”.

Many of you may remember Luther and Florence’s own busy and welcoming home, just steps away from campus, was a place of fellowship and support. Their demonstrated values of kinship and community continue to resonate at Augustana and will be honoured in this comfortable space in Founders’ Hall.

Luther and Florence’s friends and large extended family have raised $100,000 towards the $150,000 fundraising goal and need the help of our large and extended “alumni family” to complete the project. As an added incentive, Stan and Gloria Olson and family have pledged to match – dollar for dollar – all gifts received from their “alumni family” after June 1, 2015.

To make a gift or for more information about this and other alumni giving opportunities, please contact:
