Each year, we gather to remember the 14 women from the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal who were targeted because of their gender.

a03Dec – Montreal Remembrance Vigil

On December 6, 1989, 14 women at the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal were killed because they were women.

Each year, we gather outside in a candlelight vigil to remember these 14 women and observe the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

I know they are looking for women volunteers for this event. Who can I contact about helping out?

Your best bet is Nancy Goebel in the Library.
