On March 31st our colleague and friend Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad departed this life. Mumtaz was an International Fellow of the Ronning Centre, contributing to our work over the last seven years. Many of our friends benefited from his lectures at Augustana, on the north campus and throughout campus Alberta. Mumtaz was Executive Director of the Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue and Professor of Political Science, Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. His superb scholarship, generous and gracious spirit will be deeply missed. We are better for his presence. Inna Lillahay ve inna Ilehay Rajoon.
